Ongole, March 20, 2013:
YSRCP MLC Jupudi Prabhakara Rao said on Wednesday that the Government has
introduced the so-called agricultural budget in the assembly with a clear view
of curtailing the growing influence of their Party chief Sri Y.S.Jagan Mohan
Reddy.
Speaking to reporters
here, Prabhakara Rao said that Sri Jagan Mohan Reddy had long ago promised to
introduce separate agricultural budget to help the farmers and push up
agricultural development in the state after coming to power. He had also lead several
agitations for the welfare of the farmers.
“The Government is
terrified of the charisma of Sri Jagan Mohan Reddy among the farmers and has
hurriedly introduced the so-called agricultural budget,” he said. The
Government has violated the constitution by introducing the separate budget for
agriculture without discussing the issue in the BAC,” Jupudi observed.
Commenting on TDP chief
Chandrababu Naidu’s support to the Government during the voting on the
no-confidence motion, he said Naidu has come to know through his private survey
that YSRCP will win 191 seats in the assembly in case of elections and has
extended his support to the Government.
Asked about the budget,
he said there was no mention of waiver of farm loans in the budget. “A leader
should have a broad mind to announce farm loan waiver and only YSR could do
it,” Jupudi said.
