Accept the 5th as final charge sheet: Jagan

Hyderabad, April
10, 2013:  YSR Congress party chief Sri Y.S.
Jagan Mohan Reddy filed a memo in the CBI special court here on Wednesday
requesting the court to treat the CBI’s 5th charge sheet as the
final charge sheet in his case.

He said in his memo
that CBI had violated the Supreme Court orders in his case with ulterior
motives to delay bail to him.

“It gave a word to the
apex court of the country saying that it would file the final charge sheet
detailing all the seven charges in the case but contrary to its word, it had
filed the fifth charge sheet intentionally,” he said in the memo.

It may be recalled that
CBI had filed the fifth charge sheet in the case on April 8 naming Home Minister P. Sabitha Indra Reddy and Managing
Director of Dalmia Cements Puneet Dalmia also as an accused.

CBI lawyers filed this
fifth charge sheet in the case in contravention of the agency’s promise made to
the Supreme Court on Oct 5, 2012 during the hearing of the bail petition of Sri
Jagan Mohan Reddy.

After the CBI assured
that it would file the final and single charge sheet in all the seven charges
related to the case, the apex court advised Sri Jagan Mohan Reddy to approach
the trial court for bail after the final charge sheet is filed by the
investigating agency.

Auditor Vijay Sai Reddy
also filed a similar memo in the court today.
