YS Jagan attack case: YSRCP welcomes NIA probe 

Hyderabad: YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) MLA Alla Ramakrishna Reddy welcomed the High Court's decision to refer the case on the murderous attack on Leader of Opposition in Andhra Pradesh Assembly and YSRCP Chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy to the National Investigation Agency (NIA). Lambasting Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu for mocking the attack, he said the AP DGP did not have a basic understanding of the matter.

Ramakrishna Reddy said Chandrababu, with the support of the DGP, tried to lead the case in the wrong direction. The case was not filed until the evening after the incident happened at 12:30 that day, he added.

Stating that the DGP's comments would be shown to the NIA, the YSRCP leader said Chandrababu was the reason behind DGP's attempt to twisting the incident in the wrong direction. "We will produce the ones responsible for the incident before the NIA. We welcome NIA's suo motu cognizance in the matter. The culprits would be punished," he affirmed.
