Tadepalli, June 12: YSRCP Yerragondapalem MLA Tatiparthi Chandrasekhar fiercely criticized Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu’s coalition government for a year of authoritarian and deceptive governance.
Speaking at Party Central Office here on Thursday, he accused Naidu of betraying Andhra Pradesh’s people with unfulfilled “Super Six” promises, besides conspiracies, and suppression of dissent. “Naidu’s rule is a saga of deceit and broken promises,” he said.
Chandrasekhar highlighted the Talliki Vandanam scheme’s failure, noting only 67.27 lakh of 87.41 lakh eligible mothers benefited, short-changing the state by Rs. 5,000 crore. He criticized the slashing of Rs. 2,000 from the Amma Vodi scheme and the non-implementation of the Rs. 32,400-crore Aadabidda Nidhi scheme.
“This is a betrayal of women’s trust,” he charged. The Deepam scheme was reduced to half, while free bus travel and unemployment allowances remain unimplemented. In contrast, he lauded YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s tenure for disbursing Rs. 19,189 crore under YSR Cheyutha, Rs. 2,029 crore under YSR Kapu Nestham, and Rs. 1,876 crore under YSR EBC Nestham, schemes that Naidu scrapped.
Accusing Naidu of fostering fear via a “Red Book Constitution,” Chandrasekhar alleged targeted attacks on YSRCP leaders with false cases and inadequate security for YS Jagan, citing a stone-throwing incident in Yerragondapalem injuring MPTC member Venkata Reddy.
He slammed Naidu’s economic mismanagement, noting declining GST collections and zero job creation, unlike Jagan’s 1.36 lakh jobs in his first year. Chandrasekhar warned of growing public anger, evident in Jagan’s recent Podili tour. “Naidu’s vindictive politics cannot suppress the people’s will,” he asserted.
