YSRCP MLA Srikanth Reddy today criticized Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu for lacking courage to fight alone in the elections. Speaking at a press conference organized at the party's Central office here, Srikanth Reddy challenged the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) Chief to go for early polls if he had confidence over the development done in the last four years. "TDP fought the 1996 elections along with the CPI & CPM, with BJP in 1999, again with the BJP in 2004 and with TRS, CPI & CPM in 2009, forming a grand alliance," he recalled.
Srikanth Reddy observed that the TDP was trying to form an alliance with the Congress, which was responsible for the injustice done to Andhra Pradesh with the State's bifurcation. Adding that Chandrababu was the reason behing the death of 30 people during the Godavari-Krishna Pushkarams, the YSRCP leader remarked that Chandrababu influenced the Somayajulu Committee to give a report in his favour.
While Chandrababu was caught lying on the DWCRA loan waiver, the TDP leaders are now eager to join hands with the Congress, he added.
MLA Adimoolam Suresh said that Chandrababu's two-tongued nature was evident from the fact that no action was being takon on the defected YSRCP MLAs. He said that in protest against the government's attitude over the MLAs who had shifted loyalties after winning on YSRCP tickets, the Opposition party MLAs were boycotting the Assembly sessions.
